Word Painting: Trouble

Our word painting is based on a read-aloud by Marion Dane Bauer titled "A Bear Named Trouble", a story about a young bear's journey in Alaska. This class poem compares the main character, Jonathon, to a bear named Trouble. Since Trouble and Jonathon were opposites, we decided this antonym poem was an interesting way to get our information to you!

Trouble
by Mrs. Johnson's Third Grade

I'm small, he's huge, I'm healthy, he's injured.
I love Mama Goose. He killed Mama Goose!
He wants in, but I want him out!
He wants out, but I want him in
Before the Fish and Game take care............of him.
He leaves .........on a jet.
But I stay here..........in Alaska.
